1*************************** 2Freescale i.MX7D SDB board 3*************************** 4 5This file documents the Buildroot support for the Freescale i.MX7D SDB board. 6 7Build 8===== 9 10First, configure Buildroot for your i.MX7D SDB board: 11 12 make freescale_imx7dsabresd_defconfig 13 14Build all components: 15 16 make 17 18You will find in output/images/ the following files: 19 - imx7d-sdb.dtb 20 - rootfs.ext4 21 - rootfs.tar 22 - sdcard.img 23 - u-boot.imx 24 - zImage 25 26Create a bootable SD card 27========================= 28 29To determine the device associated to the SD card have a look in the 30/proc/partitions file: 31 32 cat /proc/partitions 33 34Buildroot prepares a bootable "sdcard.img" image in the output/images/ 35directory, ready to be dumped on a SD card. Launch the following 36command as root: 37 38 dd if=./output/images/sdcard.img of=/dev/<your-sd-device> 39 40*** WARNING! This will destroy all the card content. Use with care! *** 41 42For details about the medium image layout, see the definition in 43board/freescale/common/imx/genimage.cfg.template. 44 45Boot the i.MX7D SDB board 46========================= 47 48To boot your newly created system: 49- insert the SD card in the SD slot of the board; 50- put a micro USB cable into the Debug USB Port and connect using a terminal 51 emulator at 115200 bps, 8n1; 52- power on the board. 53 54Enjoy! 55
